By creating an account in Luther you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Luther is a self-help app for everyday mental well-being: conversations with an AI companion, evidence-based screening questionnaires, breathing and relaxation exercises, relaxing sounds, structured programs, mood tracking and a diary. You can write, send a voice message or send a photo; voice is transcribed and photos are described by AI services. It is operated by Mikhail Dubrovskii IE, Yerevan, Armenia.
What Luther is not. It is not therapy, not medical care, and not a diagnosis. The AI is a computer program, not a licensed professional, and its replies can be wrong. Nothing in the app replaces a doctor, a psychologist or prescribed treatment.
Luther is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis helpline immediately. Do not rely on this app to get you help.
You must be at least 18 years old. By using Luther you confirm that you are.
One account per person. Keep access to your email or Google account secure — anyone who can sign in can read your conversations. Tell us at deeptalk.support.help@gmail.com if you think someone else got into your account.
You may delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account, or through the deletion request page. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. The one qualification is the same one the Privacy Policy makes: nightly backups are kept for seven days, so a copy of what you deleted rotates out of the last backup within a week.
To keep conversations coherent, Luther keeps a short memory about you — a few dated notes and a brief profile — built from what you tell it and, unless you switch that off, from your diary. You can read every note and delete any of it in the app, and erasing your account erases all of it. What the memory holds and how it is built is described in the Privacy Policy.
Luther may send you a reminder, and it may open a conversation itself — for example to come back to something you raised earlier. This is capped at one message a day, it is never an emergency channel, and you can turn it off in Profile → Settings → Reminders or in your device settings. Turning it off does not limit anything else in the app.
Use Luther for yourself, lawfully. Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, do not use it to harm others, and do not resell access to it. We may suspend an account that does.
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your entries and pass them to the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy so a reply can be generated. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we do not sell them.
Replies are produced by a language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Judge them accordingly and never treat them as professional advice. If a reply is offensive or harmful, report it from the message itself in the app — we review reports and use them to improve the safeguards.
Luther is free to use with daily limits — a few messages a day, one questionnaire a week — and the app shows what is left. Paid subscriptions raise those limits, are sold through Google Play and renew automatically until you cancel. A free trial is offered on the yearly plan; its length and the price after it are shown by Google Play next to the button before you confirm.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the app. If we discontinue a paid feature you are actively paying for, we will say so in advance in the app. We do not promise uninterrupted service.
Luther is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on what the app told you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top, and announce significant changes in the app. Continuing to use Luther after a change means you accept the updated terms.
